Mission

The IGC's Mission Statement seeks to create a teaching and research-oriented institution of higher-level learning. IGC facilitates the needs of undergraduate students to pursue their educational goals, determine the direction of their lives and contribute significantly to their profession, community, and society. It is against this background that the Indus Group of Colleges has developed its mission statement:

To enhance the educational and professional attainment of the Youth of Pakistan by providing a wide range of Intermediate Programs, and a limited number of Bachelors Degree. Indus Group of Colleges is further dedicated to enhancing the creative work and other scholarly activity and to strengthening the economic and cultural vitality of the region through a variety of partnerships and programs.

To fulfill its mission, the institute strives to achieve the following objectives:

• To position the University as a regional center for excellence in scholarship, teaching and research.
• To attract a talented, diverse and motivated student body within Pakistan.
• To develop a culture which values and supports diversity, engenders social responsibility, is sensitive to ethical issues and receptive to new ideas and critical inquiry.
• To create an environment within the institute community that fosters co-operation, teamwork and collegial relationships.
• To foster an intellectual environment with an international orientation.
• To provide equity of access for those who are qualified to undertake the academic programs of the University.
• To contribute to the social and economic development of its region.
